Simplicity is one of Olibanum’s pillars. Every scent is centered around olibanum (also known as frankincense), a resin from the Boswellia Sacra tree. Olibanum is often considered the original perfume as its been used for sacred and secular purposes since millenia.
Santal: An addictive sandalwood lit up by a delicate ylang and notes of roasted cumin. THE DETAIL THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE? Violet, with its sickly, powdery aura.
What's sandalwood: Native to Southern India, sandalwood is a tree whose main varieties in perfumery now come from Australia, New Caledonia, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.
Formulas are elaborated with ethical natural ingredients, clean synthetic molecules and organic alcohol made in France. When possible, natural raw materials come from conservation and/or giving back programs. The bottles are made of a glass that is 40 % lighter, which means less material required for production along with a reduction in emissions, logistics and transportation. The boxes are made of recycled cardboard, are recyclable, unaltered, unbleached and unvarnished. Even glues and water-based ink used in packaging are solvent-free.

Olibanum's commitment has been the implementation of an operation aiming to help a Samburu community in Kenya. The Samburu are semi-nomadic and in order to live, they first and foremost need financial autonomy.
That's why they funded a milk pasteurizer, hand in hand with L’Homme et l’Environnement and Gazelle Harambee charities. The community has since been able to produce their goats’ milk and sell it to a nearby elephant calves orphanage.
Olibanum strives to minimize their environmental impact even in their perfume oils. They work with partners who ensure them the best qualities of raw materials, from an olfactive but also sustainable standpoint.
