A husband and wife team whose company is based in Massachusetts, Mike and Shalia note that their company has the main objectives of supporting cottage industries in Shalia's home country of India, using natural fibers and handwork, producing goods in as ecological friendly a manner as possible.

(It's pretty awesome having their warehouse half an hour away from our home, too!)

Natural Habitat Co

Shaila developed a passion for Indian textiles when, as a child, she travelled with her mother throughout her home country to observe these great craftsmen at work. This rich history and the enthusiasm of the craftsmen producing these textiles inspired Shaila and her husband Mike to start Natural Habitat. They focus on supporting cottage industries, using natural fibers and being ecologically responsible. We are huge fans of their beautiful quilts, pillows and accessories, their emphasis on handmade items, and Shaila and Mike themselves (and the fact that their warehouse is a mere 30 minutes from our house!)
